DESCRIPTION:The September 2 COP Research Seminar Series speaker will be Dr. Zakery Bulman\, who serves as Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and the Director of the Infectious Diseases Pharmacology Fellowship Program at the Retzky College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dr. Bulman also directs the Precision Antimicrobial Laboratory at UIC\, which utilizes multiple approaches\, including human PK/PD modeling\, to develop novel therapeutics to circumvent bacterial resistance and treat infectious diseases. His seminar\, titled “Designing Antibiotic Combinations to Confront Next-Generation Resistance” will be delivered via the Zoom link below from 3-4pm on 9/2\, and all faculty\, students\, staff\, and alumni are cordially invited to attend. SUMMARY:Fraternity and Sorority Programs 101 (Zoom Session)
DESCRIPTION:FSP 101 is an informational session on Mercer’s Macon Fraternity and Sorority Programs for students interested in joining a chapter or who have recently joined a Macon chapter. The session covers new member expectations for each council\, student conduct policies related to hazing\, alcohol\, and drugs\, and campus resources. All undergraduate Macon students interested in Panhellenic\, IFC\, or NPHC recruitment or intake must attend at least one FSP 101 session prior to initiating. While attendance is highly encouraged before beginning the recruitment or intake process\, it is not required. Attendance at an FSP 101 session is valid for up to two years\, so students who have attended within the past two years do not need to attend again. Please email Campus Life to confirm prior attendance. In-person sessions will be held on August 26\, September 2\, and September 23 from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m. in Stetson Hall Room 158. Online sessions will be held on September 30 and November 18 from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m. via Zoom at https://mercer.zoom.us/j/92006527624.
