DESCRIPTION:The Mercer University English Department is pleased to announce the Jeffrey L. Williamson Reading Series\, which will be launched on Thursday\, January 29th when poet and food writer Christopher Bakken will read at 6 p.m. in Connell 3. \nBakken is the author of four books of poetry\, most recently “Driving the Beast\,” and the culinary memoir “Honey\, Olives\, Octopus: Adventures at the Greek Table.” Twice a Fulbright Scholar\, he teaches at Allegheny College and serves as director of Writing Workshops in Greece: Thessaloniki and Thasos.
