SUMMARY:Meet the Firms
DESCRIPTION:This unique in-person networking event will allow students and alumni to practice interviewing skills and learn more about 30+ of the top accounting and financial firms. This year\, the event will be open to finance and accounting employers. Students and alumni from all colleges and majors are invited to participate in the interviewing and networking practice. Students from all Middle Georgia colleges and universities are invited to participate\, and the event will occur on Mercer’s Macon campus at 1501 Mercer University Drive\, Macon\, GA. \nDuring this event\, students and alumni will enjoy: \n\nInterview practice: Participate in a 1:1 micro-interview practice in a speed-dating format.\nNetworking: Learn more about the finance and accounting fields while meeting firm representatives and Mercer alumni.\nElevator pitch practice: Students will be asked to give an approved elevator pitch/verbal business card to enter the event.\nResume book: Have the opportunity to submit your resume to a book that will be provided to employers.\n\nBusiness professional attire is required (no khakis or polos)\, and students and alumni should come prepared with several copies of their updated resumes. Students may contact Ashley Herman at herman_ag@mercer.edu for details on FREE blazer\, suit jacket\, and tie rentals. \nFAQ’s: \nIs this event just for seniors or alumni looking for a job? NO! This is a networking and skills-building night. All students interested in the accounting\, finance\, and insurance industries are welcome! The recruitment process for these fields starts early. ALL years are encouraged to join. \nSo\, does that mean jobs won’t be available? NOPE! In previous years\, many students received offers from this event.
