SUMMARY:MUSM Allergy Awareness EpiPen Training Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Hello! We hope that your academic year is going well so far. Mercer University Allergy Awareness Club\, SNMA-MAPS\, National Society of Black Women in Medicine\, MerPMed\, and Alpha Epsilon Delta are looking forward to partnering with the Distinction in Service to the Community (DISC) project at Mercer School of Medicine (MUSM) for an Allergy Awareness EpiPen Training Clinic. The session will go over the signs of allergic reactions\, anaphylaxis recognition\, and proper use of epinephrine auto-injectors like EpiPen and Auvi-Q under the medical supervision of Dr. John Henderson\, an associate professor of internal medicine at MUSM who is also affiliated with Atrium Health Navicent. It will be held on Tuesday\, April 7 from 6-7 pm in the Educational Conference Room at the medical school. After the clinic\, there is an optional $35 fee to complete the 30-minute online course to receive the American Red Cross Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector certification. Please enter through the back of the medical school facing the Godsey green space\, and we will have people present to direct you to the correct room. Please sign up on the form by Sunday\, April 5th at 11:59 pm using the QR code on the flyer.
