DESCRIPTION:The Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholars Program is hosting a Clothing and Food Drive from Monday\, November 7th through Friday\, November 11th in the Connell Student Center lobby! We’ll be set up at the table from 11am-2pm each day\, but if you’re unable to stop by the CSC lobby during these times\, you’re more than welcome to drop any donations in the Office for Student Success\, located on the second floor of the Stembridge Center\, at any time throughout the week. We’ll be collecting non-perishable food items and adult\, teen\, and children’s clothing\, and we’ll have a donation box for four different non-profits: The Community Fridge\, Crisis Line and Safe House of Central Georgia\, The Methodist Home\, and Men’s Life Recovery with Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia. Thank you all for supporting our middle Georgia community!

DESCRIPTION:Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Harrison Welshimer will visit Mercer on Thursday\, November 10\, to advise students on applications to the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps is a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad\, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation. \nHarrison will be available outside the Fresh Food Company from noon to 2:00 pm\, and he will hold an information session at 6:00 pm in Connell Student Center room 2.
