Together\, the two of you will talk through a survey about big goals for our country. You’ll cover topics like mental health\, climate change\, policing\, student loans\, and immigration. On September 25\, students\, faculty\, staff\, and the public are welcome to join us in Stetson 251 as we watch and discuss “African Independence”\, a film covers the epic story of the most important events to happen on the African continent since enslavement and colonization by Europeans. Extra credit can be earned for diverse programs. Delicious refreshments will be served! \nAFRICA FILM SERIES \nSponsored by the Africana Studies Program  \nHow did colonialism end in Africa? What really happened in Africa during the period of decolonization\, and what role did global politics play in Africa’s de-colonial experience? \nThis documentary on African Independence covers the epic story of the most important events to happen on the African continent since enslavement and colonization by Europeans. The film highlights the birth\, realization\, and problems confronted by the movement to win independence in Africa. The story is told by channeling the voices of freedom fighters and leaders who achieved independence\, liberty\, and justice for African people. Each week we have worship and teaching on a topics that connect the claims of the Christian faith to the lives of college students.
