Dr. Watson’s three-lecture series is entitled “Ruinate Green: Southern Literatures and Environmental Lost Cause-ism.” \nThe first lecture in this series entitled\, “Framing the Problem: Environmental Lost Cause-ism\,” will be held at 10:10 a.m. in the Presidents Dining Room in the University Center on Monday\, Oct. 7. The second lecture is named\, “Holocene Lost Cause-ism: Ecological Generations and Geographies” and will be held at 6 p.m. in the Presidents Dining Room that evening. \nDr. Watson’s final lecture entitled\, “Ruinate: Caribbean Counterscapes” will begin at 6 p.m. in the Presidents Dining Room on Tuesday\, October 8.
