DESCRIPTION:The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) is excited to announce the annual Educator Career Fair\, which will take place on Thursday\, February 6\, 2025\, at the Mercer University Atlanta Campus from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. \nThis career fair is a significant event\, featuring participation from approximately 45 public and private school systems actively seeking talented educators. The primary focus of recruitment is certified teachers. Our target audience includes education students who will complete their teacher preparation program in December 2024\, May 2025\, or August 2025 and are prepared to embark on full-time teaching for the Academic Year 2025-26. \nIn addition to teacher preparation students\, our recruiters are open to discussing opportunities in school counseling and various other certified-level positions. Mercer students from liberal arts or music majors who are exploring career paths in education are also encouraged to attend. Recruiters are particularly interested in connecting with students from disciplines such as Foreign Languages\, Mathematics\, Sciences\, and Music. Employers will be ready to discuss how they can onboard candidates from non-teacher-education backgrounds and guide them through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GAPSC) alternate paths to teacher certification.
