DESCRIPTION:Learn to improve productivity and processes through this foundational Lean Six Sigma training. This course will cover key tools and concepts such as the Define\, Measure\, Analyze\, Improve\, and Control (DMAIC) methodology\, data collection and measurement techniques\, how to display visual data\, lean analysis tools (including fishbone diagram\, 5 Why’s\, 5 S’s\, Gemba Walk\, and Poka-Yoke)\, brainstorming and option selection criteria\, process improvement results assessment\, documentation\, and introduction to Six Sigma leadership and cultural approaches. This introductory course is designed for employees at any organizational level. All program participants will receive a Mercer University certificate of completion.

SUMMARY:Kandy Lopez: Vaivén
DESCRIPTION:The McEachern Art Center\, in collaboration with ACA Gallery in New York\, presents Vaivén\, featuring the work of Afro-Caribbean figurative artist Kandy Lopez. Lopez’s work explores constructed identities\, telling stories of people of color. Her current series is centered around large\, yarn-based portraits on plastic canvas. Initially designed to be walked on like a rug\, these pieces symbolize the marginalization of people of color in this country. In this exhibition\, the portraits are elevated on gallery walls and suspended — transforming these works into symbols of strength\, courage\, and beauty\, reclaiming space that often feels inaccessible.
