SUMMARY:EG Kight
DESCRIPTION:With her rich vocals\, captivating guitar style\, and hefty catalog of well-crafted original songs\, EG Kight has entertained audiences around the globe in true southern style. Her unique blend of “country flavored southern fried blues” appeals to fans across the genres.\n\nKight’s original songs have been recorded by several major blues artists\, including Koko Taylor\, Dorothy Moore\, Ally Venable\, and Ann Rabson and Bob Margolin. Some songs have aired on five major TV networks and in film. And two songs aired on the SEC Network’s “TrueSouth” show\, and are now found on the ESPN Spotify playlist.\n\nKight performs as a solo\, and as a trio\, with Gary Porter on drums/percussion/harmonica/vocals\, and Ken Wynn on guitar/dobro/vocals. Formed in 2018\, Kight says “This trio excites me in a way I haven’t felt before. The three of us have performed together in my Georgia band for over 20 years\, and Gary and Ken are like brothers to me. This stripped down version allows for a tighter show with sweet harmonies.”\n\nKight’s trio album release\, “Sticks & Strings”\, debuted at the #10 on the Billboard Blues Chart.\n\nWith 21 blues music industry nominations over the last 25 years\, Kight continues to write new songs and perform more live shows\, taking her music to various stages across the country.\n\n“She’s as classy\, sassy\, confident and credible as they come. Kight provides new hues for the blues while ensuring they remain compelling and engaging all at the same time.” – American Songwriter Magazine

SUMMARY:Embody: 2026 Senior Art and Design Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Embody\, an exhibition exploring what it means to inhabit a body in space. The works presented here examine the tension between the physical and the spiritual\, beauty and rawness\, memory and invention. Featuring eight seniors of the 2026 Mercer University Class of Art and Design\, this exhibition approaches the body as both subject and vessel — personal\, political\, imagined and real. Each artist engages embodiment through their own lens\, inviting viewers to consider their own presence within the gallery and beyond it. Embody asks you to slow down and become aware: of sensation\, of emotion\, of memory. It creates room for wonder\, discomfort\, reflection and connection. The body is not presented as fixed or singular\, but as something fluid—shaped by history\, environment\, and lived experience. Working across ceramics\, photography\, illustration\, fashion\, performance\, and expanded media\, the artists build a layered environment that reflects the complexity of being human. What you encounter here is not just an image of the body\, but an experience of it. Opening reception Friday\, April 10 at 6 p.m.

SUMMARY:The Brook & The Bluff Featuring Shy Company
DESCRIPTION:The Brook & The Bluff return to their rock & roll roots with Werewolf – a high-voltage\, live-inspired album that turns up the amps\, pushes the tempo\, and howls in four-part harmony. Fueled by the sharp songwriting and stacked vocals that have defined their catalog\, the collection captures the raw\, supercharged energy of the band’s concerts. After nearly a decade of nonstop touring – earning hundreds of millions of streams with fan favorites like “Halfway Up” and “Everything Is Just a Mess” – the band regrouped in Nashville\, meeting every morning to write and rehearse like their early days in Birmingham\, Alabama. Life unfolded in the background: weddings\, divorces\, real-world growing pains. Inside the room\, it was all music. The band channels the swamp rock spirit of legendary artists like Creedence\, Petty\, and The Eagles\, delivering loud\, melodic\, deeply human songs like lead single “Super Bowl Sunday” – a crashing\, introspective anthem about ego and emotional blind spots. “The goal was to treat the record like a live set\,” says frontman Joseph Settine. And that’s exactly what they’ve done. Local Macon band Shy Company\, with their signature East Coast dream rock sound\, opens. $25 Advance $30 Day of Show. BUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:The Wood Brothers
DESCRIPTION:Dubbed “masters of soulful folk” by Paste\, The Wood Brothers formed after brothers Chris and Oliver Wood pursued separate musical careers for 15 years. Chris already had legions of devoted fans for his incomparable work as one-third of Medeski Martin & Wood\, while Oliver’s band King Johnson built a loyal following in the South. With drummer Jano Rix added as a permanent third member\, The Wood Brothers have evolved into one of roots music’s most revered acts\, playing sold out shows across North America\, garnering a Grammy Award nomination and releasing nine studio albums\, including their forthcoming release\, Puff of Smoke\, out August 1. \nThe Wood Brothers have partnered with American Friends of Canadian Conservation so that $1 per ticket will support The Nature Trust of British Columbia (NTBC) in their efforts to conserve ecologically-rich wetlands and protect irreplaceable land from development. Every $1 donated will be matched by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with $2 so more endangered wetlands can be saved. If you’d like to learn more\, please visit this link. BUY TICKETS
