SUMMARY:Mercer Dance Team College Prep Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Join the Mercer University Dance Team for a college prep clinic. Participants will learn choreography to the Mercer fight song\, as well as both a hip hop and pom dance. A “gameday” and technique session has also been included as part of the agenda. Following the clinic\, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with current members of the Mercer Dance Team. This clinic will be held on Sunday\, February 11th beginning at 8:30am in the University Center Intramural Courts. The registration fee will be waived for current Mercer students. Discover the answer at the Africa Film Series\, hosted by Dr. Obidoa and Sponsored by the Africana Studies Program and Quad Works. On February 21\, students\, faculty\, staff\, and the public are welcome to join us in Stetson 251 at 6:30 P.M. as we watch and discuss “93 Days”\, a film based on the true story of men and women who risked their lives and made sacrifices to save masses from the consequences of the Ebola Disease. Extra credit can be earned for diverse programs. Delicious refreshments will be served!

DESCRIPTION:Join Engage for Images of Positive Aging: A Guided Response Tour Photography Exhibition of images used in an interprofessional education activity with health professions students to promote positive aging. Participants will be introduced to the 4Ms framework of age-friendly healthcare and view the photographs using a Guided Response Tour approach. Engage faculty will facilitate a brief discussion at the conclusion on the event. \nThis exhibition is the result of an activity supported by a Mercer Health Sciences Interprofessional Education Grant including students and faculty from the College of Health Professions\, College of Pharmacy\, and Georgia Baptist College of Nursing. \nEngage is an interdisciplinary team of clinician educators in the Mercer University College of Health Professions and College of Pharmacy including David Taylor\, Leslie Taylor\, Jennifer de la Cruz\, and Susan Miller. \nEngage is part of Georgia Gear\, a multi-institute partnership whose goal is to improve clinical care and quality of life for older adults and their families in Georgia.
