Kirby Godsey will deliver the University’s 30th annual Harry Vaughan Smith Distinguished Visiting Professor of Religion Lectures Feb. 22-23 in Newton Chapel. \nDr. Godsey will present three lectures on the theme “Romancing the Unknown.” The series opens on Tuesday\, Feb. 22\, at 11 a.m. with “The Fabric of the Unknown\,” followed by “The Myth of God” at 7:30 p.m. The closing lecture\, “Amazing Grace\,” will be held at 10:10 a.m. on Wednesday\, Feb 23. \nThe lectures\, co-sponsored by the Office of the President and the Columbus Roberts Department of Religion in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences\, are free and open to the public. DESCRIPTION:This year\, Harvest Fest will be on Wednesday\, October 20th from 5pm to 7pm in Greek Village. \nHarvest Fest is an event hosted by Mercer Panhellenic for Macon elementary students and their families to visit Mercer for an afternoon of crafts and fun. Organizations are invited to set up a table in Greek Village with a craft or some other activity for the kids and we would love for you to participate! If you are interested in participating\, register through this link by Monday\, October 4 at 11:59pm.  More information can also be found through the link! SUMMARY:Be The Match Bone Marrow Registration Drive
DESCRIPTION:Mercer University’s Physician Assistant Program is hosting a Be The Match bone marrow drive to add to their growing registry. The event is open to anyone that meets the health guidelines and is willing to donate to anyone. On the day of the event\, those that choose to join the registry will be asked to create an online account through Be The Match as well as provide a cheek swab that will be sent in for genetic analysis. Those that are identified as a match with someone on the Be The Match registry will be contacted directly about the donation process.
