In this talk, Dr. Samantha Pinson Wrisley, of the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University, will discuss the gendered and sexual implications of relational AI. Through the examples of AI girlfriends and AI dating assistants, they will explore what constitutes genuine interaction and what the use of AI indicates about the future of relationality.
