Please join our next BearTalk with Dr. Annika Sinha for January 19 at 6:30 p.m. entitled Diversity and Disparities in Healthcare.

Annika Sinha graduated from Mercer University in 2015 with a B.S. in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Art. She then graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2019 with her M.D. and is currently a second-year resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She was always interested in non-profit work, including Mercer Prosthetics and Orthotics Club during college and is currently leading her own clean water access non-profit organization called Billion Bottle Project, which she started in medical school.

Since her time at Mercer, her interests have always been diverse – from painting, cooking, and enjoying Netflix regularly to publishing manuscripts and presenting at conferences, and her newest focus includes working with marginalized health populations, primarily the LBGTQ+ community and her future career direction will likely include Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and Urogynecology with a special interest in Transgender Surgery. Her experience at Mercer sparked significant personal and professional growth and she hopes to share her stories and inspire another Mercer Bear.
