Then, on Sunday, October 18, at 2:00 PM, the Venerable Maha Dam Phommasan, a Buddhist monk, will lead a Walk for Peace, beginning at Washington Park and concluding at Cruz Plaza.

This event is part of Mercer University’s Countdown to 19, a university-wide celebration of the historic investiture of Penny L. Elkins, Ph.D., as Mercer’s 19th president. The investiture ceremony, to be held on October 29 and streamed live, will provide the global Mercer community the opportunity to participate in this landmark occasion from anywhere in the world.
