Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice Program Guest Lecture

Olivia Slaton, CLAS ‘25, is an Advocacy Coordinator at Central Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA), which works alongside families, caregivers, and the court to ensure children in foster care find safety, stability, and a brighter future. She will discuss how this agency empowers children in foster care by training and supporting volunteers who advocate for children across the Macon Judicial Circuit.
