This concert introduces a new artist to the stage, violinist Itamar Zorman, winner of the 2011 Tchaikovsky International Competition. Extraordinary guest pianist Orion Weiss, along with violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti, cellist Leo Singer, bassist Daniel Tosky and young artists of the McDuffie Center, will join together to play the works of Samuel Coleridge Taylor, Jessie Montgomery, Shostakovich, and Bottesini. It will be a wonderfully diverse musical evening.
Adjusting to the new normal of 2020, the Fabian Concert Series will continue to bring great chamber music, collaboration, education, and outreach to Mercer and Macon. This year, we will explore the diversity and expressiveness of music with some of the world’s greatest musicians and bring healing and thoughtfulness during this unprecedented time. We officially begin our 13th Anniversary Season on September 29th at the Grand Opera House in downtown Macon, where we will have addressed all our concerns for health and safety. Tickets are $15 per person/free with Mercer orany valid student ID. Single tickets will be available prior to each performance. Call (478) 301-5470 to find out more.
