Of his portrayal as Argante in Handel’s Rinaldo, Amanda Finn of Broadway World wrote, “Chadley Ballantyne’s cavernous bass could give James Earl Jones a run for his money.” Ballantyne will present a program featuring the atmospheric music of Jacques Ibert’s Chansons de Don Quichotte, a collection of Hugo Wolf lieder, Russian arts songs of Mikhall Glinka, and the beautiful, challenging songs of American composer Charles Ives, including his tour de force, “General William Booth Enters into Heaven.”
