Ward Stare, conductor
The season concludes with the winner of the Townsend School of Music Concerto competition, along with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 and Macon hip-hop artist, Bob Lennon. Written just after losing his hearing, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 was composed during one of the most depressed times of his life, but Beethoven shows little sign of his obvious despair and end with an explosive finale. Maconite Bob Lennon also takes to the stage in this final concert of the year to perform his commission, “Don’t You Look at Me.”
