Join us as we follow the paths of two Mercer Pharmacy alumni as they reflect on their pharmacy careers. This candid discussion will feature successes, challenges, lessons learned, and a Q&A session.
Scheduled speakers:
Sarah Baggett Bowen, PharmD, ’ 13 BCPS
Medical Science Liaison, Eli Lilly
Sarah completed PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Solid Organ Transplant at Vanderbilt and UAB, respectively. She worked as a Liver Transplant Pharmacist at UAB, then as a Kidney Transplant Pharmacist at Emory. Later, she advanced to Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Northside Hospital Forsyth. In 2025, she transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry and now serves as a Medical Science Liaison with Eli Lilly, focusing on rheumatology and immunology.
Lisa M. Woolard, PharmD, BCACP
Gastroenterology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director, Emory U. Hospital Midtown
Lisa completed PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Ambulatory Care at Grady Health System. Before joining Emory in 2020, she spent over 15 years at Kaiser Permanente Georgia as a Gastroenterology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, where she helped establish a multidisciplinary Hepatology Clinic. Her current clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, access to care, and specialty pharmacy.
