The primary goal of the Discovering Dyslexia Community Education Series is to educate Middle Georgia families about dyslexia while also providing a supportive platform for caregivers to ask questions and get answers. Each session will feature an expert guest who will be available to address inquiries on topics such as: the diagnostic process, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, the Orton-Gillingham Approach, mental health, and more.
Ellen Hill is an educator and Mercer alumna with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Ellen has taught hundreds of teachers the fundamentals of reading instruction and has presented locally and nationally at conferences hosted by the International Dyslexia Association, the Orton-Gillingham Academy, the SSATB, and the Georgia Independent School Association.
