In 1963, King published a book of sermons called Strength to Love. But in the last five years of his life, King’s prophetic calling pushed him toward what today is called “tough love.” Delivering truth and “tough love” to power, he addressed a set of “inseparable triplets” that America had to face down in order to become a “beloved community.” And it cost him his life.
