Beethoven Sonatas for Piano and Violin: III 250th Anniversary Year of Beethoven's Birth Amy Schwartz Moretti, violin; Andrew Armstrong, piano Closing out the season, the duo of violinist and Center Director, Amy Schwartz Moretti and pianist, Andrew Armstrong reunite to perform the sixth, seventh and tenth Violin Sonatas of Beethoven. This, the final concert of their three-year project to perform all 10 violin sonatas celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth in 2020, will surely be an incredible musical experience…

Guest composer Alan Schmitz is being honored for his 70th birthday in a concert of his solo/chamber music. Schmitz earned bachelor and master of music degrees from the University of New Mexico and his Ph.D. in music theory and composition from Rutgers University. Recordings of his music are available on PARMA Records' Ravello Label.

The Mercer Jazz Combo closes out the season with their favorite jazz standards from swing to latin to funk. Works include: Au Privave, Footprints, Perdido, Take the A Train, Impressions, plus, a World Premiere by future jazz great Jarrick Hillery.

Please join us for a special night of music during our 19th annual presentation of Chamber Ensembles. Our unique program, featuring performers from Mercer’s Wind Ensemble, Marching Band and Colorguard, will take you on a diverse musical journey, with selections that range from hit blockbuster film scores to pieces composed by major Classical icons throughout history. The ensemble focuses on repertoire that is considered standard for harpists and that features the artistic capabilities of a professional harpist.
