Of his portrayal as Argante in Handel's Rinaldo, Amanda Finn of Broadway World wrote, "Chadley Ballantyne's cavernous bass could give James Earl Jones a run for his money." Ballantyne will present a program featuring the atmospheric music of Jacques Ibert's Chansons de Don Quichotte, a collection of Hugo Wolf lieder, Russian arts songs of Mikhall Glinka, and the beautiful, challenging songs of American composer Charles Ives, including his tour de force, "General William Booth Enters into Heaven."

This second edition of exciting chamber Music, performed by several small ensembles form the Mercer University Wind Ensemble will offer a plethora of literature some audience members may have never heard in previous concert settings.

Recitals are held in the Bell House Jennings Salon at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open 30 minutes beforehand.

Polyphony Church Music Concert - Distinguished in both classical and sacred music, Stephen Nielson is widely regarded as one of the distinctive artists of our time. Ambassador for the World Cultural Alliance, his discography includes classical repertoire, music for piano and cello, and hymn tunes in the classical style. Stephen Nielson is a Steinway artist.
