The Townsend concert season opens with a showcase of performances by the distinguished faculty artists in a festival gala concert event. Afterward please join us for a pre-packaged reception on the patio honoring the performers and the start of the concert year.

Help celebrate Labor Day in a festive concert that features Center faculty and students. Founder Robert McDuffie, Artistic Director Amy Schwartz Moretti, and Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra Conductor Ward Stare will be among the performers. Fickling Hall, seating is first-come, first served.

Ward Stare, conductor The newly formed Macon-Mercer Symphony Orchestra begins its inaugural season with a blockbuster concert featuring the Prokofiev, Symphony No. 1 (Classical Symphony), Beethoven Symphony No. 7, and Otis Redding Foundation students and campers. Prokofiev's work premiered in 1918 and has become one of his most popular compositions.
