The March 12 concert will feature violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti, violist Matthew Lipman, clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, cellist Raphael Bell, pianist Andrew Armstrong, and R. J. Kelly on horn performing a variety of pieces, including the Rachmaninoff Piano Trio in G minor.

Georgia-born Filipino-American flutist Norman Menzales brings his “…warm, attractive sound” to the Townsend School of Music as part of the Jubilee Artists Series. Mr. Menzales has served as Principal Flute with the Fort Collins Symphony since 2013, Montana’s Great Falls Symphony since 2012, and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra since 2021. Come join us for a night of beautiful, mesmerizing, joyful music presented by this award-winning musician and educator.

An avid chamber musician, collaborative pianist, and concerto soloist Dr. Ryan Fogg, Professor of Music and Director of Keyboard Studies at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee will perform a solo recital in Townsend School of Music’s Neva Langley Fickling Recital Hall prior to his Carnegie Hall debut in April 2024.  This event is free and open to the public.

Richard Kosowski, tenor Adrian Gnam, oboe Timothy McReynolds, collaborative piano Themes of devotion, sacrifice, supplication, and hope are explored in Music of Passion for the Season of Lent. Programming will include Benjamin Britten’s rapturously mystical Canticle 1: My beloved is mine and the haunting, angst-ridden Canticle 2: Abraham and Isaac.

Under the direction of Dr. Monty Cole, hear the music of legendary pianist Thelonious Monk and his sidemen performed by the Mercer Jazz Combo. This event is free and open to the public.
