Jubilee Concert Series: Seraph Brass

Now in its 11th season, Seraph Brass was founded by trumpet soloist Mary Elizabeth Bowden with a mission to showcase the excellence of women brass players and highlight musicians from marginalized groups, both in personnel and in programming. Winners of the American Prize in Chamber Music, the group has been praised for their “beautiful sounds" (American Record Guide), "fine playing” (Gramophone), and “staggeringly high caliber of performance” (Textura).

Mercer University Opera Presents “9 to 5”

Inspired by the 1980 movie, the musical 9 to 5 follows the story of three female co-workers who, pushed to the boiling point by their lying, egotistical boss, concoct an outrageous plan to even the corporate playing field in this hilarious musical adaptation! With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, this is a splendid, toe-tapping Valentine’s date night story of friendship, revenge, empowerment, and even a touch of love!
