Roofdog is Macon’s eclectic roots band, who’s most recent release “Dumpster Diving” reached #1 on the Roots Music Report’s ‘Acoustic Blues’ chart, spending 18 weeks in the top-ten and reaching as high as #3 on the overall ‘Blues’ chart. The song was produced by southern music legend Paul Hornsby at his local Muscadine Studio.

The students of Mercer University Opera and the Vocal Studies Area present "A Gala Evening of Arias and Song" featuring gorgeous operatic arias and beloved small ensembles and contemporary musical theatre songs celebrating the work of Stephen Sondheim. One night only!

This is sure to be a stunning season finale. The Wind Ensemble will perform Jocelyn Hagen’s Medusa which is a theatrical work for soprano and wind ensemble based on the famous Greek myth. This concert will also feature the winner of the Townsend Concerto Competition for Winds, Percussion, Piano, and Voice.

Curated by Artistic Director Amy Schwartz Moretti, the Fabian Concert Series continues to present chamber music at its highest level in the intimate setting of Fickling Hall. Internationally renowned guest artists play side-by-side with McDuffie faculty and students, bringing life to contemporary works as well as that of the old masters.

Every year, each of the Townsend School of Music's four Areas (instrumental, keyboard, strings, voice) chooses one student to perform at the Honors Recital.
