Rita Sloan is acknowledged internationally as a leading teacher of piano, collaborative piano, and chamber music. In 1999, she was appointed a piano faculty member and director of the collaborative piano program at the University of Maryland. As an artist-faculty member at the Aspen Music Festival and School, Sloan founded their collaborative piano program.

Recitals are held in the Bell House Jennings Salon at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open 30 minutes beforehand.

The unlikely combination of "mammals" form two schools will present a varied program of music written by composers from around the world. The Student Composers’ Concert will feature a variety of exciting new works by Townsend School of Music students. Enjoy pieces written for voice, acoustic instruments, and electronic media!

Join us for an evening with Macon artist Charvis Harrel as he speaks with Dr. Laura Simon and Dr. Cameron Kunzelman from Mercer University about using his art to confront injustice.
