Plant a Pinwheel for Suicide Prevention

Hundreds of purple and blue pinwheels are arranged in the shape of a ribbon in a grassy area. The words, "Plant a Pinwheel for Suicide Prevention, Sept. 3-12, at the Quad," are displayed.

Engage students, faculty and staff in suicide awareness and prevention by planting 1100-1200 teal and purple pinwheels on the quad to represent the number of college students who die every year by suicide.

Talk Saves Lives: Intro to Suicide Prevention Lunch and Learn

“Talk Saves Lives”– featuring Chelsea Piatt, Georgia coordinator of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will provide presentation and personal story. Attendees will receive information and learn about risk factors, prevention resources, communication strategies, and the overall importance of mental health. Free lunches provided to the first 75 participants.
