
Mercer Theatre Presents: Mercer Haunts
Part of Mercer’s Gothic Festival, this show features ghost stories from Mercer and Middle Georgia, interspersed with moments from Gothic authors. Special effects from the newly constructed tech booth are set to impress! These creepy haunts and horrors will be the epitome of the spirit of fall. Admission to the Nov. 12 show is free.

This holiday tradition, hosted by the Student Government Association, annually draws hundreds of students as well as faculty, staff and their families to Willingham Auditorium. The Mercer Singers lead the audience in carols, the University minister offers a Christmas meditation, and a faculty/staff member entertains the audience with a traditional Christmas reading. The event concludes with the lighting of the Mercer Christmas tree and Winter Wonderland in the Village.

ChatGPT, powered by OpenAI, is a text generation tool/search engine powered by artificial intelligence. ChatGPT is capable of generating quality text that could be used as the body of papers and essays. Plagiarism checkers like Turnitin do not catch text from ChatGPT since such text has not been published before. This workshop will discuss preliminary observations about these tools and ways to structure assignments that deter students from using them.

The Women's Rights Are Human Rights exhibition features international posters on gender-based inequality, violence and discrimination.
