The Lamar Lecture series, made possible by the bequest of the late Dorothy Blount Lamar, began in 1957. The series promotes the permanent preservation of Southern culture, history, and literature, and it is recognized as the most important lecture series on Southern history and literature in the United States. The University of Georgia Press publishes The Lamar Lecture Series. Scott Romine, a professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, will deliver the 2020 lecture.

We are starting Homecoming Week off with some friendly Family Feud competition. Questions will be fall/Halloween related. Family costumes are not required, but you may coordinate group costumes if you want to! Only students who pre-registered as a team are able to participate in this event.

Join QuadWorks on Cruz for a free showing of Halloweentown, featuring snacks. All students are welcome! Bring a blanket or chairs. Competing Homecoming teams will also submit carved pumpkins for judging.
