Read for Record is a day in which millions of adults and children around the world read the same book on the same day in order to raise awareness about the critical importance of early literacy.

The Office of Nontraditional and Evening Services (ONES) is a Student Support Services Program for new, returning and transfer students seeking a bachelor’s degree at the Regional Academic Centers in Macon, Henry, and Douglas. We provide services to retain and graduate students and work as liaisons between students, faculty, staff, and our community partners. The ONES program provides opportunities and resources for academic, career, financial, and social development.

Volunteers should meet in the Connell Student Center Lobby 30 minutes prior to the start of their shift. Volunteers should dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes. Mercer gear is encouraged. The sites for this Service Saturday include Macon-Bibb Animal Welfare, All About Animals, Backpack Buddies, Brave Meadows, Higher Life Center, Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful, MerServe Community Garden, U Create Macon Volunteer, Kitty City Volunteer, and Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia Volunteer
