Science Activity With the Youth at Centenary Church

Do you know your history? The My Name Matters Campaign asks all Mercerians this question through their project, Hidden Threads: Intellect, Diversity & Religious Freedom. The research study has been designed to explore and analyze the historical timeline and debate between Mercer University and the Georgia Baptist Convention severance. Habitat for Humanity Volunteering

We will be volunteering at Habitat for Humanity's Restore, a store that sells donations to fund Habitat Homes in Macon. Volunteers will be cleaning, organizing the store, loading and unloading donations, and clearing out the store.

Lack of Sleep Intervention for College Students

We hope to educate students about the health issue of 'lack of sleep' on campus. In order to do this, we will be passing out educational flyers on the health outcomes of poor sleep, make them do a short quiz by asking questions out loud, and if they get a certain amount of answers right, we will be passing out candy.

Mary Jane Newberry Butterfly Habitat Volunteering

4.17.24 | 2:30pm - 5:00pm

Established by Mr. Bert Bevins, former county commissioner, the garden is named in honor of his grandmother, who had a deep love for gardening. Volunteers can expect to plant seeds and flowers for the butterflies. Meet in the CSC by 2:30 pm to check-in and receive the address.
