
Lack of Sleep Intervention for College Students
We hope to educate students about the health issue of 'lack of sleep' on campus. In order to do this, we will be passing out educational flyers on the health outcomes of poor sleep, make them do a short quiz by asking questions out loud, and if they get a certain amount of answers right, we will be passing out candy.

The final Third Thursday Reading Series event of the season will feature a tribute to Mercer Alumnus David Bottoms (Class of 1971), who served as the Poet Laureate of Georgia from 2002 to 2012. The evening will begin with a reading by the winners of the David Bottoms Prize for Poetry, which will be awarded to the Mercer University undergraduate students whose poems best exemplify Bottoms’ belief that poetry is “a search for consequence.”

Join us on April 20 to volunteer at the Macon-Bibb Earth Day Festival! We will be assisting with welcoming visitors, providing directions for the event, and helping run the "Kids Zone" by assisting children with Earth-Day related activities. For the last 10 years, the folks at Mulberry United Methodist Church have used their community garden to feed members of the Macon community. Students can expect to plant various plants and flowers, pull weeds, prune bushes, paint walls/sidewalks, clean up the garden, and much more!
