Mercer University’s Creative Writing Program will host a reading by award-winning poet Charlotte Pence Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Presidents Dining Room inside the University Center on the Macon campus. The event, free and open to the public, will include poetry from Pence’s new book, Code, which received the 2020 Book of the Year award from Alabama Poetry Society and was a finalist for Foreword Reviews Indie Poetry Book of 2020.

The School to Prison Pipeline is a disturbing national trend where children are funneled out of public school and into the juvenile and criminal Justice system. Join us Thursday, October 28 at 7:13pm in Stetson 243 for a riveting conversation. The first 25 people to enter will receive a canvas to paint as they take part in this event!
