The first of two concerts of the Bands at The Grand Honor Band Festival hosted by Mercer University Bands. The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will perform a program inspired by hard rock and popular music styles. Dr. Monty Cole will perform Black Dog: Rhapsody for Clarinet and Wind Ensemble by Scott McAllister.

Mercer Theatre presents "The Trojan Women," a haunting tale of resilience and war's aftermath, by Euripides and directed by Jeffrey Green. Performances are FEBRUARY 13-15 + 20-22 @7:30PM FEBRUARY 16 + 23 @2:30PM TATTNALL SQUARE CENTER FOR THE ARTS

When: The exhibit runs through March 22. Museum hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Where: Tubman African American Museum, 310 Cherry St., Macon Details: In collaboration with the museum, Mercer Associate Professor of History and Africana Studies Dr. Matt Harper and students in his African American history course researched and curated an exhibit that features advertisements for runaway slaves published in the Macon Telegraph from 1823-1865. Museum admission is free for museum members and Mercer students and $5 for all others.
