Guest composer and conductor Dr. Jack Stamp will conduct two pieces on the program including his famous "Gavorkna Fanfare" to open the evening. Cailey Martinez will be featured in Dr. Stamp's "Elegy for English Horn and Band" and the Mercer Wind Ensemble will perform pieces by Peter Mennin, Leonard Bernstein, and Katahj Copley. Amy Schwartz Moretti, Director of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University and a member of the acclaimed Ehnes Quartet, is the featured soloist on the program, performing composer and Townsend School of Music faculty Christopher Schmitz’s "Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 1". The evening closes with Brahms’ masterpiece, "Symphony No. 2 in D Major".

Kyung-A Yoo’s BeautyFull series opens its fourth season with chamber music from Eastern Europe. The program includes Bartók’s magnificent work "Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion," Janacek's Violin Sonata, and Lutosławski’s "Variations on a Theme" by Paganini. Featured performers include Dr. Yoo on piano, Charlie Tauber on piano, Marcus Reddick on percussion, and Joshua Smith on percussion.

Themes evoking the imagery of some of the world's most beloved ballets will be awakened by the Harp Ensemble performing an evening of notable staged favorites by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and more.
