The Townsend Symposia on Music, Philosophy, and the Arts are meant to open the eyes of professionals and scholars to new ideas, presented especially for students, artists, and arts administrators in the community.

Stephen Darlington, one of the United Kingdom's foremost choral conductors, joins Mercer Singers and director Stanley Roberts in a choral tour-de-force of time-honored anthems by British composers and contemporary sacred selections from composers around the world.

Choral Society of Middle Georgia and Mercer University Choir, led by director Gary Gerber, Dean of the Townsend School of Music, present a celebration of music through choral works.

Come hear what the talented students in the McDuffie Center for Strings have been working on. Seating is first come, first served. Doors open 30 minutes beforehand.

The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will break into chamber groups to present an eclectic and varied evening of music. Featured groups will include the Brass Quintet and Wind Quintet as well as other ensembles from within the band.

Join us for an exceptional evening of French chamber music, featuring the less-known string works and the exotic songs of Debussy performed by talented McDuffie Center Young Artists and mezzo-soprano Samantha Mishima Friedman. This concert promises a special atmosphere and a celebration of French musical heritage in the 20th century.
