The Mercer University Wind Ensemble will present an evening of chamber wind music featuring voice: solo and choral. Sheila Dunn, Richard Koswoski, and Timothy McReynolds will be guest soloists. The Choral Society of Middle Georgia will be featured in a performance of Johannes Brahms’ Begräbnisgesang.

Solo, duo, and ensemble pieces performed by students of conductor Calista Anne Koch, also featuring the Middle Georgia Harp Ensemble.

Scotland-born artist Jamie Hood is recognized across the United States and Europe as a freelance educator, soloist, and conductor who performs exclusively on a Besson Prestige BE2028 cornet.

Conducted by Dr. Monty Cole, the Mercer Jazz Combo brings to life the music of the amazing Horace Silver and Art Blakey.

Townsend School of Music's associate professor of collaborative piano Dr. Kyung-A Yoo and guest artist Dr. Minhae Lee, assistant professor of piano at Stephen F. Austin State University School of Music, introduce Rachmaninoff’s beautiful two piano suites. Students also will join Dr. Yoo to perform Rachmaninoff’s Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G Minor.

The memorable 17th season of the Fabian Concert Series brings the best of artists from around the globe in a fascinating look at chamber music, this performance featuring the world-renowned Ehnes Quartet: James Ehnes (violin), Che-Yen Chen (viola), Edward Arron (cello), and Mercer’s director of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, Amy Schwartz Moretti (violin).

The Mercer Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Monty Cole, will perform the music of Radiohead, Frank Zappa, Buddy Rich, and Marcus Miller. Dr. Marcus Reddick, associate professor of percussion, will be featured on drumset.

The Middle Georgia Harp Ensemble and the Middle Georgia Flute Choir, under the direction of Calista Anne Koch and the Middle Georgia Flute Choir conducted by Bastien Millo, will present music from a variety of periods.
