Encountering Ableism Seminar

Join us for Encountering Ableism: Discussion on Disability with disability justice expert Mary Grace DuPree. Rev. DuPree will speak with us on Thursday, February 20th from 6-7 PM in Stetson 251. She will help us understand underlying ableist beliefs and helpful actions toward accessibility. There will be a Q&A session after her talk. Sociology Department Guest Speaker Series: Mercer Alumnus Discusses a Decade of Social Work and Community Service in Macon

Former sociology student at Mercer Rhonda Ross-Hunter is an experienced social service professional with extensive experience in foster care and community engagement. Currently serving as a Case Manager at Brookdale Resource Center (homeless shelter), Rhonda focuses on assisting local unhoused citizens with employment resources and housing options. Rhonda holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Mercer University and a Masters degree from Fort Valley State University.

The film is historical fiction that begins during the first Nigerian Independence Day on Oct. 1, 1960 and concludes at the end of the Nigerian Civil War in 1970. This story is told through a captivating love story that delivers an unforgettable cinematic experience.
