We will be celebrating the launch of our 16th issue, "Painting the Picture of Violence." This issue explores recent explosions of violence, like the Russia-Ukraine War, global gun violence, and domestic violence, and their impact on the health of those impacted. An event to commemorate the work of students and artists in the creation of a mural representing the Macon-Mercer community. The program will focus on education about the processes of social justice and the importance of public art and anthropology in communities.

The Women's Rights Are Human Rights exhibition features international posters on gender-based inequality, violence and discrimination. There will be an interdisciplinary discussion panel on the topic at 4:30-5:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Connell Student Center, Conference Room 2. The panel includes Dr. Natalie Bourdon, Dr. Erin McClenathan, Dr. Amy Nichols-Belo and Dr. Laura Simon and is moderated by Tennille Shuster.
