Do films have the power to break barriers, open minds, and transform lives? Discover the answer at the Africa Film Series, hosted by Dr. Obidoa and sponsored by the Africana Studies program and Quad Works. On January 24th, students, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to join us in Stetson 251 as we watch and discuss “A United Kingdom,” a film based on how invasive and extensive the apartheid laws in Southern Africa were and how they directly affected the lives of people in Botswana. Extra credit can be earned for diverse programs. Delicious refreshments will be served!
