Do films have the power to break barriers, open minds, and transform lives? Discover the answer at the Africa Film Series, hosted by Dr. Obidoa and Sponsored by the Africana Studies Program and Quad Works. On November 8th, students, faculty, staff, and the public are welcome to join us in Stetson 251 as we watch and discuss “Fire in the Blood”, a film based on challenges associated with the access to AIDS drugs in Africa and the global south in the 1990s, and how a remarkable coalition of people came together
to bring change. Extra credit can be earned for diverse programs. Delicious refreshments will be served!
