How to Love What You Do On & Off the Clock.

A 2010 graduate of the Mercer College of Liberal Arts, Cara Davis Little is a proud Georgia girl with roots on the dirt roads of I-75 South. She graduated from Mercer and majored in Political Science, with a minor in Communications, as she always knew she’d be a lawyer (that is, after she got her first C in high school Biology!). While at Mercer, she was very involved on campus as a member of QuadWorks (creating and planning Mercer’s first NPHC step show), the Student Judicial Counsel, and much more. She is also a proud member of the Iota Eta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Fall 2007). Cara attended Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 2014. Subsequently, she moved to Dallas, Texas, to begin as an associate at a civil law firm, focusing on labor and employment. After working in the private sector for 5 years, she moved to Washington, D.C. in 2019 to work as a labor and employment policy advisor for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In that role, she advises the VA Secretary and department leadership on high-level employment policy concerns that affect the agency. She is also a wedding and event planner, with 3 weddings under her belt and 4 more booked for 2021 and 2022. Cara lives in Maryland with her husband (and Mercer sweetheart), Benjamin, and their blue Boston Terrier, Baxter.
