Opening night brings a new face to Fickling Hall, cellist Leo Singer, a rising soloist, chamber musician and teacher. This program brings us to the country of France with Ravel’s riveting Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2, followed by various French Songs arranged for string quartet and ending with the virtuosic Quintet for Piano and String Quartet by Cesar Franck. Involving Center Artist Faculty and young artists, this concert kicks off what promises to be a phenomenal season.

This year’s FAbian Concert Series beings a tour of music from six different countries, in six different concerts, over the span of the 2019-2020 season.
