Storytellers Macon, along with Mercer’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is holding a free Storytelling workshop for college students approximately aged 18 – 23. The oral tradition of speaking our stories to each other is our most ancient form of communication, culture, and persuasion. This workshop will move us through a progression of storytelling basics, including structure, vulnerability, and details. Participants will practice deep listening and cultivate personal stories. We will discuss how personal stories build empathy and community identity. Snacks will be provided. This is an official J.E.D.I.-Belonging Week Event.
