Leadership requires decision-making. Some decisions are split-second responses and others entail slower, more reflective deliberations. Taking a mindful approach to decision-making can provide leaders with tools for intentional decision-making, resulting in more flexible thinking, greater openness to fresh interpretations, and increased sensitivity to context and ethics. This session will provide an overview of mindfulness as a tool for decision-making in leadership as well as specific mindfulness techniques that can be used.

Leaders face common challenges as a result of the sudden shift to virtual work environments. This session will emphasize best practices for leaders to overcome challenges and establish productive virtual teams through communication, engagement, interaction, and accountability.
