FROM SAMOA TO SINATRA is Grammy award winner, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Matt Catingub’s tribute to his mother, jazz singer Mavis Rivers, and her years on Frank Sinatra’s Reprise record label, currently being heard on SiriusXM radio. This live music concert will feature solos, duets, and full ensemble pieces performed by the Mercer Harp Ensemble. Different genres will be explored including Celtic, religiously inspired arrangements, a Spanish dance, as well as something reminiscent of banjos from a movie called “Deliverance”.
