Dr. Matthew Bruen, an Associate Professor of English and Chair of the Department of Literature and Languages at Young Harris College, will read from his debut nonfiction book Keeper of Lost Places, which explores vanishing landscapes in America, offering insight into how they were shaped and ultimately forsaken.

It is a food stand organized by Mercer's Vietnamese Student Association that sells pho, Thai tea, and Lychee green tea to raise money towards making prosthetics for amputee patients located in rural areas with little to no access to proper health care in Vietnam.

More Than a Month: You are Black History When: Feb. 3-Feb. 28 Where: Tarver Library, Macon Details: Mercer Libraries staff will have several resource-sharing displays set up throughout the second floor. Students will be invited to share notable Black leaders, artists, musicians, authors, professionals, and content creators at these displays by interacting with them. Staff will also share weekly recommended resource lists – featuring books, media, games, podcasts and more – that emphasize current and historical leaders and content by Black creators.
